OnAir Fest (Brooklyn) 2025
What did radio sound like back in the '70s? What about the ‘30s? This is your chance to hear a curated selection of narrative radio pieces that are all at least 50 years old. There’s experimental plays, civil rights era docu-fiction, sound-rich documentaries, and more. Howard University Professor and Peabody Award-winning Sonja D. Williams, CUNY Newmark Graduate School of Journalism professor and award-winning audio documentary maker Kalli Anderson, and longtime story editor and ‘23-’24 Harvard Nieman Fellow Julia Barton host this session, featuring the clips that they each selected.
